Dr Rachel Tabor

Rachel graduated from Cardiff University with honours in her degree in Dentistry. She completed a number of hospital posts and worked in general practice gaining a breadth of knowledge and experience. She also gained membership of the faculty of dental surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).

Rachel was awarded a prestigious International Team for Implantology Scholarship position with the University of Geneva in 2012. Rachel was then appointed as dental faculty staff at Geneva University and completed Specialty Training in Prosthodontics in Switzerland over a full-time training period of 4 years. This included a Masters research thesis on dental adhesion to zirconia (a dental ceramic material) and she has published articles in peer-reviewed dental journals. Rachel also worked in several Swiss private practices. She was then awarded UK membership in Prosthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and registered a Specialist with the General Dental Council. Rachel benefited greatly from the 7 years spent in Switzerland with a focus on minimally invasive adhesive dentistry using the latest digital dental technology.

Rachel’s main clinical interests include the treatment of hypodontia (missing teeth), tooth wear and the provision of implant supported dental prosthodontics. She enjoys working as a team with Specialist colleagues and planning complex cases with patients to provide excellent results that meet their expectations and personal requirements. Rachel puts a strong emphasis on patient satisfaction.

In her spare time Rachel enjoys reading, spending time with her family and cooking new recipes with varying success.
